Terra Cotta Figure Newington Cropsey Foundation Fellows 2022

See what our summer fellows at the Academy of the Newington-Cropsey Foundation, Hastings-on-Hudson, have created. In two intensive weeks on a fully funded fellowship, Enkh-Od Batzorig (A22), Clare Collins (A22), and Monica Molina (A22) progressed through life drawings, sculpting terra cotta figures which will be cast into bronze, carving linoleum blocks for printmaking, and finishing with wood and marble carving.

When Susmi Sharma (SF21) was awarded an internship during her senior year, she sought to explore her growing interest in neuroscience and psychology. Pi茅r Quintana, assistant director at OPPD, introduced Sharma to Dr. Taffeta Elliott (SF97), assistant professor of psychology and education at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, known locally as New Mexico Tech.

Operating in collaboration with the Women鈥檚 Empowerment Collective, AMP began in 2020 as a limited pilot program available to female-identifying members of Santa Fe鈥檚 incoming freshman class. As of fall 2021, it has been open to all the campus鈥檚 female-identifying students.
